Experience Counts

In 1989, Foundation Specialties began underpinning residential and light commercial structures for foundation repair purposes using hydraulically driven pipe piles and footing brackets.

Today, with an office in Northwest Arkansas, FSGC maintains a fleet of drills, grout plants, high-pressure air compressors, and all the drilling tools, load test equipment, and personnel to design, manage, and install micropiles, helical piers, ductile iron pipe piles, ground and rock anchors, tiebacks, and more.  FSGC offers solutions for specialty deep foundations, foundation underpinning, slope stabilization, soil nail retaining walls, support of excavation (SOE), ground improvement, and more.

Ground and Rock Anchors

FSGC can help to develop the best solution for resisting uplift loads or overturning by utilizing pre-tensioned, ground and rock anchors.

A small yellow drilling machine is in action on a construction site, installing anchors into a dirt and rock wall. Several metal rods are already embedded, creating a stable support structure. Tools and materials are scattered around.

Structural Underpinning

FSGC can recommend the best options for Foundation Repair or increasing the Structural Load Capacity of existing foundations using Micropiles, Helical Piles, and Resistance Piers.  Design and build Pile Caps and install Hollow Bar Micropiles and Permanently Cased Micropiles in low clearance or limited access locations.

Construction workers wearing safety gear use machinery to apply concrete to a large retaining wall. They are elevated on platforms, and the wall has protruding rebar. Heavy equipment is visible in the foreground, and the ground is muddy.

Anchored Earth Retention / Support of Excavation (SOE)

Work with our experienced staff and engineering associates to develop economical solutions for Anchored Earth Retention, Support of Excavation (SOE), and Shoring.  Solutions may employ Micropiles, Soil Nails, Helical Anchors, Rock Anchors and H-Piles.  Face with Shotcrete, Wood/Steel Lagging or High Tensile Strength Wire Mesh.  Permanent Installations or Temporary Excavation Support.
