Foreman

Job Description

FSGC is seeking an experienced foreman. This supervisory field position involves leading and managing a crew of employees. The foreman may specialize in specific areas such as drilling and grouting, shotcrete, steel piling and lagging, stone columns, or mechanical work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with project managers to develop construction schedules, including timelines for excavation, formwork installation, concrete pouring, curing, and finishing.
  • Direct and supervise construction crews, including concrete finishers, formwork carpenters, laborers, and equipment operators, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
  • Enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries, conducting regular safety meetings, inspections, and audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Address concerns, provide project updates, and ensure customer satisfaction to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Adapt to changing project conditions, including weather, site conditions, and client requirements, while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project plans to accurately implement design specifications.
  • Prioritize safety in all construction work and promote a culture of safety among team members and subcontractors.
  • Maintain physical fitness and stamina for tasks involving prolonged standing, bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.

License(s) and/or Certifications(s) Required:

  • Experience with drilling micropiles, rock, or soil anchors, tiebacks, soil nails, or similar types of work is preferred.
