Drill Rig Operator – Small Diameter

Company Overview:

Foundation Specialties Geostructural Construction (FSGC) specializes in constructing deep foundations, pile driving, dewatering, shoring, anchor systems, and ground improvement. FSGC works in the south-central United States, including Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas. 

FSGC is looking for an experienced small-diameter drill operator with 2-3 years of drilling experience. Experience with drilling micropiles, rock or soil anchors, tiebacks, soil nails, or similar types of work is preferred but not required. The driller handles the drill to mobilize, set up locations, and drill in various soil conditions. Ideally, we would like experience with Comacchio, Casagrande, Hutte, or similar drilling equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating small-diameter hydraulic drills
  • Direct onsite crew assigned to the project
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and following FSGC and OSHA standards
  • Coordinate with Foreman on project needs
  • Work harmoniously with peers, supervisors, and the public

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Operating other heavy equipment
  • Proper use and understanding of drill tools and equipment
  • Proper understanding of soil conditions and drilling methods
  • Self-motivated and willing to challenge themselves

License(s) or Certification(s) Required:

  • Valid Driver’s License, with the ability to obtain a Class A CDL
  • Medical Card
  • Certifications: Forklift, Manlift, Truck, Rigging, signal person, 10-hour OSHA, etc., or the ability to obtain them. In-house training and certification may be available.

Our briefings are approximately 45-60 minutes in length (depending on the number of questions).
