Job Description
A shotcrete nozzleman operates specialized equipment, including pumps, hoses, and nozzles, to apply shotcrete to surfaces. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces for application, monitoring and adjusting the concrete mix for consistency, and coordinating with construction crews to align shotcrete applications with project activities. Additionally, they perform routine maintenance on shotcrete equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the shotcrete equipment, including the concrete pump, hoses, and nozzle, are properly set up and in good working condition.
- Prepare the surface to be separated with shotcrete, which may involve cleaning, wetting, and applying bonding agents to ensure proper adhesion.
- Monitor the application process to ensure that the shotcrete is applied evenly and meets the required specs for strength, durability, and finish.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of the methods, materials, and tools used in the construction industry
- Ability to operate tools and equipment
- Understand and follow written & verbal commands
- Ability to work independently
License(s) and/or Certifications(s) Required:
- At least two years of experience in operating shotcrete equipment is required
